Photo backdrops are now up on the first module. There is a lot of scenery and weathering add before this looks unified but its a start. Prior to dieselization, CPR P1 Mikados seem to be the one of the most common locomotives I see pictured on the mixed train to Little Current. I have been looking for a good model for quite some time and managed to find a complete brass model in great running shape. Continue Reading
Fixing the track alignment has lead to shaping some of the only land forms on the Little Current layout. Cube shapes are cut with a sharp xacto blade and glued down with no more nails. I find this method helps to add some randomness. To keep each module light I’m Continue Reading

From what I can see in photographs, a Canadian Car & Foundry Mail Express like a 3600 series RPO and a heavyweight single window steel coach were tagged onto the daily mixed train. I have been slowly collecting parts to scratch build my own (and I may still do that). Continue Reading
