This is my website about my Little Current Model Railway, a 1:87 model of Little Current Railway Yard, located in Ontario on Manitoulin Island. While the real railway’s track was removed in the 1980’s, my model railway continues to recreate the look and feel of switching daily mixed trains and freight extras. While some areas are compressed to fit into available space, I have attempted to recreate the Little Current Yard as accurately as I can.
My layout is build in 6 foot modules on 40″ high folding tables with wireless DCC control and ambient sound. The modules align on pins and snap together with magnets which also conduct the power to the modules. The tables fold up and the layout modules store vertically when not in use which saves space and keeps the dust off. In the future, I plan to add on modules as space becomes available including the swing bridge, Turner Yard as well as select scenes along the line as far as McKerrow.
