This is my informal website about my Little Current Model Railway, a 1:87 model of a railway yard that was located in Little Current, Ontario before it was removed in the 1980’s. My model railway recreates the look and feel of switching daily mixed trains and freight extras in approximately 1958. While some areas are compressed to fit into available space, I have attempted to recreate the Little Current Yard as accurately as I can.
My layout is build in 6 foot modules on 40″ high folding tables with wireless DCC control and ambient sound. The tables fold up and the railway stores vertically when not in use. I plan to add on modules as space becomes available including the swing bridge, Turner Yard as well as select scenes along the line as far as McKerrow.
