An Aerial view of Little Current, ON Published by A.A. Gleason Jr of South Bay Mouth. Photo by Ed. Dreier. Undated. This is a nearly perfect a photo of the Little Current yard that I’m using as reference to build my layout. In the lower left edge cars are visible at the loading ramp on the stock pen lead. This is an interesting view of Cochrane Dunlop building and loading ramp that I haven’t seen before. Clear enough to see several cars in the yard. Turner Yard is visible in the upper right side. No date listed. I was lucky enough to come across this aerial postcard and scoop it up.
Its always great to get new information while building a model. It either confirms your thinking or tells you you’ve got it all wrong. After a certain point a model you are building has to depart from perfection and becomes something of its own when you accept that this will happen. Either that or you start over. My track plan below (which is the same view but rotated 90 degrees clockwise) below shows some similarities and differences.
