Today I started benchwork construction. I live in a small house and this time I wanted to build a layout that can be easily setup anywhere, fits the space I have and that I can take with me and expand if I move. Each module is made of two sheets of 2″ styrofoam glued together and wrapped in 5mm plywood. The Benchwork design is inspired by Tony Koester’s Wingate project. Made of 3 2X6′ modules that are 40 high. Folding tables that are 36″ tall make supporting the benchwork at a reasonable height a snap. Wood facia will be stained and varnished. Its tough to level outside but these images give a good overall idea.
